I'm making pork chops tonight for dinner and I'm putting season salt and pepper on it, my boyfriend loves the way his mom cooks and I want him to love my cooking too but I'm wondering do I fry the pork chops? or put them in the oven? My boyfriend is black if that matters. Thanks!

if you have access put them on the grill & wrap some potatoes in foil & put them on as well maybe some of your fav bbq sauce, some ranch style beans, a salad, some salsa & maybe some rolls or tortillas

Maybe you could call his mom and ask her how she cooks hers. That way they are cooked the way he likes and helps get on mom's good side with a compliment on her cooking! I like to brown them on top of the stove first.... then place them in a casserole dish. Open 2 cans of cream of mushroom soup and place into the frying pan to warm the soup and scrap up any of the drippings. Then pour the mushroom soup over the chops in the casserole and put them into the oven for about 45 minutes at 350 degrees. They are soooo fork tender and you can use the soup for gravy on your potatoes.

no it really doesn't matter what skin color he is actually it is more about the love his mother put into the cooking. Why dont' you just ask her or ask him how she does it? you could fry on the stove with some season salt and fresh ground pepper then brown the chops t& put them in the oven to finish.

If you want him to love your cooking the way he loves his mom's cooking, call her and ask her for her pork chop recipe. Honey, a person's skin color has no bearing on whether or not they enjoy the way you prepare food. Duh.

If you do them on the stove top, brown each side on medium high to high heat, then turn it down to low and cook until done all the way through. that way they don't turn out tough. When i fry mine, i like to put breading on them. Dip them in some beaten eggs then in seasoned bread crumbs. Head the oil and cook the chops. Balsamic vinegar also tastes nice with pork. brown them on each side and then add some b. vinegar to the pan, keep adding it everytime it goes dry.
