I would like input on what gaming computer i should buy. I have a budget of $1400 without a monitor or speakers. Do I try and buy one from circuit city, or do I go to the gaming computer makers? For which one will I get more for my money? Also, I want this computer to be able to run all the games out now, and almost any one that comes out in the next few years (if at all posible). Anyway, where do I go, and what do I look for. Specific model ideas would be great.

Problem is that the computers from Best x and Circuit x do not come with that good of Graphics cards in 99% of their products. Most aren't even second rate graphics. Let alone the motherboards are inferior to what you can go to newegg and buy. Motherboard technology is crucial when building a good performing pc. Just look at the prices they charge for 800 mhz ram... Best x wants $120 for a gig of the stuff. You can get 2gigs of 800mhz for $40 easily, of many differant name brands. You buy one of those computers from Best x and you will get 2 gigs of 667mhz at best... I have seen a couple from there, had a core 2 duo processor and 2 gig 533mhz ram. There was a question on here last week posting that computer. What a joke, most likely that motherboard didn't even have PCIEx16 2.0... But they were asking $750 for that computer, can you say RIPOFF...

U can try get the part of ur computer at http://www.tigerdirect.com/ and build the pc urself. It will be cheaper than buy from shop or whole set of pc with brand. Custom build pc oso better than others pc. If u wan performance in games, the graphics card r very important, Nvidia 9800GX2 r the latest card which perform good in any games. The CPU, try get Core2 Duo/Quad for gaming.
