are restaurants that serve traditional japanese breakfasts (i.e. rice, natto, miso soup, fish, pickled veggies) common in Tokyo? Last time I went it seemed I mostly saw restaurants that served more Westernized breakfasts. If you know of any good restaurants in the Tokyo area that serve traditional Japanese breakfasts I would really appreciate it......especially if you can also tell me how much one of these meals would cost. Thanks!!!

Besides Yoshinoya & the like, most hotels serve both Japanese & western breakfasts that you can eat even if you are not staying there. It's more expensive but tastes better too. The price range is usually around 1,000 yen in business hotels and 2,000 yen or more for luxuary hotels.

Tokyo is a very popular tourist spot. There are millions of travle books that are bound to have a million good answers to your question, and that are undoubtably more reliable than asking random people on the internet. I suggest picking one up.

Visit Yoshinoya or Matsuya before 10AM.The price of the breakfast meals are cheap (most meals are less than 600 yen).
