| I tend to keep eye drops for much longer that a month, but the packaging advises that one should discard of it after a month, some say three weeks. Is this a marketing spiel? If not, why do they recommend such a thort time period? |

| Expiration dates are actually guidelines... but eye drops can be especially vulnerable to contamination if the bottle tip comes in contact with eye lashes. Prescriptions can be used for a reasonable time after the expiration date as this is a way for the ******** companies to sell more products.. so the answer to your question would be - it's a marketing "spiel" |
