This act speaks of "fair" and "unfair" discrimination. This allows the government to enforce legal discrimination against whites and other minorities in favour of black people. The bottom line is that the colour of one's skin is one of the factors that determines whether one gets a job or not. This is the same old apartheid in a new dressing, but now of black against white.

Although there are many more "blacks" than "whites" in SA, and thus one could perhaps understand that more "blacks" than "whites" SHOULD get the jobs, especially in the light of past apartheid discrimination, it IS reverse discrimination felt perhaps most by the white MALE (the 20-50 year-old professional becoming an extinct species in SA)

I'm totally with you on that! It's so obvious in South Africa! The ANC is discriminating against the white and coloured people. Most jobs these days in South Africa isn't given in a merit way, but chosen by the ANC and accepts more black people with less qualification over fewer whites with the best and most prestigious qualifications.
