to be notified before foreclosure? We had a co-signer, we defaulted he took over payments and trailer. He defaulted, and the trailer was repossed and foreclosed. Did we have the right to be notified before the foreclosure, to make it legit on their part?If so, where do I find a copy of these rights for us, as loan holders?
My husband and I rented to own the property where we had the trailer while we were making payments, the co-signer moved it to property he owned after he took over payments.
I found the whole foreclosure laws for the state the trailer was in, they were required to send a certified letter to my last known address, and post the sale in the local paper where the trailer was located for 3 weeks prior to sale. The laws of foreclosure do, apply to the trailer, it is still a mortgage.
