I Was Recently In A car Accident And The Insurance company Of The Person That Hit Me Offered Me $2,500 And Declared My car A Total Loss. So I Signed The Settlement Papers And Faxed It To Them About A Week And A Half Ago. This Morning I Recieve A Letter Stating That It Was A Mistake And That They Are Only Offering Me $250. Can They Do That Or Is That Illegal Im Not Sure Please Help Me Out.

I sure hope that they can't get out of it. I would talk to a lawyer. Where on earth would you find a car for $250?

you will have to read over the settlement. If it was a real mistake, then they might be able to get out of the agreement.

It just depends on the legal loopholes in that document.
