| I have ten years tech experience developing software, firmware, and hardware. I have spent 7 years dealing with customers in the field. I have an MCSE and I am completing my Bachelor of business Administration at the end of this month. |

| The specific area you choose isn't as important as what interests you. Pick something where you have passion that you can bring to your job every day. Know your talents/strengths and pick a job that takes advantage of them. To this end, I highly recommend reading the book "Now Discover Your Strengths" (see the link in "Sources" below) For some comparison, here are some career switches for people I have known moving out of high-tech into other careers: * QA -> project manager at a non-profit * Product Manager -> outdoor guide * Program Manager -> actress/performer * Developer -> live theatre producer |
