I always want to open my own restaurant. I wonder if it's possible to do it part-time as I like my day time job a lot too. Does anyone out there have experience in doing this? Please share with us. Thanks.

you can..if you get one of those franchises, like chilis, or applebees...then after a year, you hire someone to be a manager...one of those college students that couldnt find a job...that was in management...and that year..you coach him off and on....then u can let him run things by himself or herself...and if he she needs more people..he she hires......now.....if you dont want that..then just get a canteen ....move it on your route......look for one with a set route...or just buy the canteen truck and make your own route...the other alternative is a hot dog stand in the summer......

You can hire a manager, find a partner, or find a location that only makes sense to operate in the evenings. You should learn ALL ABOUT IT first, though... It takes a lot of effort to do this.
