|  Experiment! Get a very basic cookbook that is designed for beginners. The recipes will be easier and have fewer ingredients. Look for one with pictures that explain the recipe process (how to dice an onion, sear fish, etc.) Don't get too ambitious--start small and work your way up as you get more confident. |
