I'm looking for something that tastes just as good as traditional egg nog but happens to be vegan. I've found recipes and products through searching, but the results have not been very tasty. Do you have a recipe or know first-hand of a product that is? Thanks very much in advance!!!

The recipe above will certainly taste pretty good but it ain't gonna be eggnog. I'm sorry but vegan "egg nog" will never taste as good as real egg nog. It might taste like the stuff you can get in the store, but not as yummy as real egg nog.

Silk Nog is really tasty if you can find a local health food or other store that sells it. Try it warm with a sprinkle of nutmeg.

This is a traditional vegan egg nog (see below) which you are right, it is tasteless and lacks the sweet thickness traditional egg nog has and that is because it needs the eggs and cream to make it that good. No taste in soy milk and tofu. 21 oz extra-firm silken tofu 2 cups soymilk 2/3 cup light brown sugar 1/4 tsp salt 1 cup cold water 1 cup rum or brandy 4 1/2 tsp vanilla extract 20 ice cubes Nutmeg Crumble the tofu and blend with soymilk, sugar and salt. Blend until smooth. Pour into mixing bowl, and whisk in water, rum and vanilla. Cover and refrigerate. To serve, blend half of mixture with 10 ice cubes until frothy. Repeat with other half of nog. Serve with a sprinkle of nutmeg.
