...MALWARE protection capabilities...? How do you eneble them. A Westell Versalink 327W "hardwired" to one computer and a 2nd computer connected thru a USB wireless remote. If it can be done, will it conflict with any "resident/always running" Virus and Spyware protections?

Router never conflict's with any internal softwares. Router is an additional firewall which doesn't conflict with internal firewall. Anyways it protects against hackers and is better than all possible software firewalls. I don't think if it does protect against Malwares as malwares often comes from sites and a firewall may or maynot prevent malware from sites. But it sure wud prevent trojans, spyware or malware from contacting their servers to communicate.
