| am currently overseas with the military, and i don't have my laptop with me... question is- when i get home will i be able to copy all my music files from my ipod to my harddrive on my computer, as a backup incase the ipod crashes or gets lost? most of these music files i have ripped since i left home, and the only copy i'll have access to is in the ipod. |

| You should be able to copy them all using windows explorer. Windows recognizes your ipod as another drive upon connecting. Just drag and drop the files to your computer hard disk. In case the files on your ipod are from itunes use tunebite(download it from the net) to rip them to mp3. |
