i'v ealready surfed the web adn nothing seems to work
i've got spy falcon, and my firewall keeps popping up universa application, which i keep denyinig becuase i have no idea what it is
every spyware program you've listed, i've already tried, i run i, it catches a couple of things, i clean it, adn then they come back. i've done it liek 4-5 times for each program
let me repeat, i'e used spybot, adaware, norton, bazooka, basically anything that's popular with the broad spectrum viruses and spyware. NONE OF THEM HAVE WORKED. im not completely computer illeterate, and getting spybot HASN"T WORKED

For my tastes, it has to be Ad-Aware. This was developed by hackers and it FREE. Try it and see if you don't get a lot of crap off of there quick!

Hi, it can be very frustrating trying just about everything that has been suggested and still have no positive results.
I had Norton which was not detecting an awful lot of viruses and trojans, installed spyware doctor and very good, not suggesting that you go for spyware doctor, just that it worked well for me.

try this site for free fast technical support, they will be able to instruct you through, they respond very fast to questions and you will have to register, its free:
http://www.protonic.com

need some good info on spyware, very very good info:
http://www.techsupportalert.com (home page)
http://www.techsupportalert.com/free-vs-paid-av-part2.htm (free verses paid, antispyware)

also one of your answers someone mentioned spydoctor, spydoctor and spyware doctor are not the same. spydoctor is scam/rogue product, whether the person meant to say spyware doctor. Spyware Doctor is legit and good product, I just thought I should mention it

Always back up your data to floppies/cd/dvd or external hard drive or other usb device. These viruses /spam /adware are a real pain in the ass.The best way i have found to get rid of these forever is to reformat your hard drive(this is why backing up is essential).click on start/shut down/restart in ms-dos mode and type in "format"(without the parenthesis)and press enter.Make sure you have the original Windows disk or startup disk otherwise your computer will just sit there like it has had a labotomy, which it basically has!!.Once your hard drive has finished formatting you will need to copy your Windows files to your hard drive.Put your Windows disk in and it should start automatically,if not then type Windows.exe and press ENTER.This solution is also a pain in the ass but it is the surest way of gettin rid of anything unwanted on your system.P.S. This may take you a number of hours depending on your system and size of hard drive. This is a very drastic thing to do but it works.GOOD LUCK,let me know how it goes!.
