| I have a 1989 Subaru 1.8lt Brumby (Brat) How do you remove and replace a head? I can get a second hand head to replace the damaged one with. My head gasket is blown and there is water in the chamber. It was the result of a busted heater hose.Which i have now replaced. |

| You got me with this one. If only the hose was blown, the engine should be ok unless you overheated it. If the engine oil is not contaminated, the engine starts and does not overheat, then the head gasket is ok. Replacing a head is a major repair. Something this large should not be done by an inexperienced person. No offense, |
