I bought a used '05 Honda CBR 600RR last year, and now only has about 300 miles on it. It was garaged during the winter. It hasn't had any maintenance service yet. It will be one year this April since it was first ridden. Before I start riding it again, should I have the maintenance done, or wait until the 600 miles recommended in the manual? Anything else that needs to be done?

What maintenance are you planning to do?

Clean it...lubricate it...
Ride it like you stole it as Ive been told...

It's probably OK to ride just as it is, but since it sat all winter long, it couldn't hurt to give it a quick oil change and drain the gas tank and refill with fresh gasoline. A quick shot of chain lube, and you should be good to go until the 600 mile dealer service.
