| I'm looking to buy a diesel (to eventually convert to biodiesel) and am looking mostly at 1980's Mercedes, Volvo and (1990s)VWs. I understand Mercedes is sure, slow, solid (and maybe spendy), Volvo of course reliable, and have heard mixed things about VW jettas and passats. So far, I have heard nothing but glowing reviews for mercedes, but am afraid of expensive parts and service for when things do go. I won't be driving in the city - only highway and sometimes trips to ski. does anyone have recommendations or words of advice? |
