| Is it possiable to use an AMP without a head unit. Plug in any device with RCA jacks to it ? I'd rather buy an AMP than a aftermarket stereo for space reasons. |

| Yes, it is. All you will need is an RCA output. Radio Shack has the pigtail that converts 1/8" jack (headphone) to RCA. My only other recommendation would be to use a marine amplifier. The circuit boards are coated to make them moisture resistant. You will also need to provide the amplifier with a remote wire (normally provided by the stereo) This is a 12 volt trigger that turns the amplifier on and off. The amplifier does not power itself from this wire, so a small wire on a switch will work. I would recommend a switch versus connecting it to the ignition because you may want to listen to your MP3 while the engine is off. |
